Come meet other parents, be a part of deciding upcoming events or just sit and listen in. They usually last about an hour. We will have some homemade desserts for you to enjoy as well. See you there!

8th Grade Laptop Buy Back

8th Graders can purchase their laptop, charger, protective case, and bag for $20. Payments can be made between May 30th and June 14th online to the North Tapps website under the “Online Payments” tab (click here to pay online) or in the main office.

8th grade students still need to return their laptop, charger, protective case, and bag at the end of the school year with the other grades, so that the laptop can be inventoried and reformatted. All student data (files, images, videos) will be purged so that the laptop can be sold. Therefore, if students want to save any of their data, they need to save it to a thumb drive or another personal Google account before they return it.

Purchased laptops will be returned to students at school during school hours on Wednesday, June 21st.

Clubs & Activities

Homework Club: Wednesdays and Thursdays in the HUB from 2:20-4:00pm. This is a place students can go to make up a test, or quietly work on homework. This is supervised by a certificated staff member.

When you arrive to pick up your child, call the office at 253-862-2776 and we will have your child come out to you. June 14th will be the last day for this club.

Math/Science Help - Thursdays Room 157 (Sullivan) 2:15pm - 3pm. Students can then go to Homework Club in the HUB until 4pm or be picked up. June 14th is the last day.

NTMS Vaccines, Medicine Forms and Sport Physicals

Parents, make your students’ health provider appointments for next school year NOW as clinics are booked months in advance! Some clinics have begun charging a fee to complete paperwork outside an appointment. Click on the links below to access more information and forms:

· Vaccinations – Sign up for MyIRMobile (My Immunization Record) to see if your student needs any school required immunizations and to access vaccination records.

· Medication authorization paperwork for medicine taken at school. A new form is required each school year. We also accept medication authorization forms from your child’s provider.

· Sports physicals if your student will play sports (complete every two years).

Meningococcal Disease and Human Papillomavirus Information

Dear Families:

The Washington State legislature requires that we make information available to you about meningococcal disease and human papillomavirus (HPV). Meningococcal disease is a rare but serious disease that can cause pneumonia, blood infections, and meningitis. Human Papillomavirus can cause cervical and other cancers. Both of these can be prevented with vaccinations given during the preteen and teen years. For more information about these two diseases and their prevention, please click here.

6th Grade Families: Tdap Vaccination is Required for 7th Grade Attendance!

Dear 6th grade families:

-Per Washington State law, all students attending 7th grade must have one dose of Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis) vaccine. Tdap vaccine must be given at or after age 10 to be accepted for school entry.

-Your child’s health care provider can print proof of vaccination for you, or you can print it from MyIR, which is a free Department of Health online tool that allows families to view and print their official immunization records themselves. Go to MyIRMobile to register for access to your family’s records.

-Please email this proof of vaccination to Kristin Liedtke, NTMS Health Tech, at kliedtke@dieringer.wednet.edu, or bring it to school during open office hours.

-Appointments for vaccines can be made at one of the resources listed here. Make appointments early, as vaccine appointments may be full in late August and in September! Other recommended vaccines may be offered by your provider.

*If your student has a Certificate of Exemption on file for the tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccine, this is still valid.

Thank you,
