This book study opportunity will explore the language of mathematics, and how, by teaching the language of math, we can increase achievement of all learners.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Understand how language focused instruction leads students to a deeper understanding than traditional procedural-based teaching methods.

  • Become equipped with tools to help students identify and comprehend essential math concepts by examining the concepts through the lenses of language and symbolism.
