From Mr. Axel-Adams
The kids did a pretty nice job finishing up our Topic 3 project - the Order of Operations Calendar. It's going to take me awhile to get them graded, so please be patient. I am going to go ahead and put the assessment in PowerSchool and will add individual student's scores as I get them graded.
We started Topic 4 this week: Represent & Solve Equations/Inequalities. We will be starting to dive into algebra in big way! There's a lot to cover in this topic, so it will be some time before we are ready for a test. The mid-topic quiz will be some time next week; the topic test will be the week after Thanksgiving break.

We are starting our research unit this week. We will be talking about plagiarism and citations and then starting to research later in the week.
During reading, we will be connecting with Mrs. Brown's class in Missouri talking about character traits later in the week.
Journals will be due this week (Wed-Lit Fam, Thurs-Thick, Fri-Oofer). Don't forget to tell what three character traits a character from your novel possesses.
