Sweet Reads!
Valentines Day, Black History Month and our newest chapter books are on display this month in the media center. Our new books are still arriving, so stop by often to check out our latest titles. Teachers, please keep your book requests coming as we are keeping a running "wish list" for next year!
New Books to Support Common Core Standards
Fables and Folktales
Students learn to compare and contrast similar themes and topics in a variety of traditional literature from different cultures.
Perspectives of Historical Events
Great for teaching point of view. These flip books are designed for analyzing multiple accounts of the same event.
How To . . .
Introduce procedural or expository writing with these entertaining "how to" books.
Guided Reading
New first chapter book sets (6 of each title) are available for teachers to use in guided reading with our youngest readers.
"Red Dot" Nonfiction
New high interest nonfiction books have been added to the picture book house for kindergarten and first grade students.
"Red Dot" Fiction
Fresh fiction is now available on the picture book house for the reading pleasure of our younger students!
