Winter Sports 2023-2024
New Program to the ERMS Athletic Department: Strength Training!
The ERMS Athletic Department is now offering Strength Training as part of the Winter Season program. This is a FREE sporting activity that all middle school students can participate in. Training is held after school from 2:30pm-4:30pm here in the ERMS weight room.
If interested in participating, please register through rSchool Today with your current family account, the same one used for all athletic registration! (Families new to the Athletic program, please create a new account). As with all Athletic Programs, please have a current sports physical on file.

A Note about Athletics Fees...
All athletics and many activities have fees associated with them. However, if any family needs financial assistance to reduce participation fees, please contact Mr. Chad Pearson, ERMS Athletic Director or Ms. Maryann Evans-Vorhies, Administrative Assistant for Athletics/Activities. No student will ever be denied participation in athletics or activities due to financial hardship.

Even though meals are free for most students, District One91 asks all families to complete an online application called the “Alternate Application for Educational Benefits,” which is available on the District One91 website, One91 Education Benefits Information page! By filling out this application, you can receive reduced or waived athletic and activities fees, reduced transportation fees, discounts on internet service, emergency food benefits, and more.

Reminder About Sports Physicals:
Sports Physical Information:
Please make sure you have a VALID sports physical document on the file with the ERMS Athletic Office. These sports physical documents are a requirement of the MSHSL and ISD 191 Burnsville High School.
Physicals are good for 3 years from date of exam, unless physician specifies otherwise.
Returning athletes for registering for the Winter Season may use their current physicals on file. New athletes will need to provide sports clearances before participation is allowed.
Students CANNOT participate without it. You can view your current sports physical date that is on file from logging into your family rSchoolToday account.

BHS Alpine Ski!
BHS Alpine Ski Team!
Do you like to downhill ski? Then the BHS Alpine Ski Team is for you! The team provides competitive racing in a friendly team environment.
Boys and girls grades 7-12 are welcome. Downhill ski experience needed – race experience recommended but not required.

New Users to rSchoolToday for sports and activities/clubs will need to Create New Account (New User). If you are a Returning User, please use your same email address, username, and password from the 2022-23 school year.
If you are new to ERMS and want to participate in Sports Activites, you will need to create a new family account with RSchool Today. This website is the main tool District 191 uses for all Sports and Activity Registration. It is used per family, each student within the household involved in Sports/Activities will be activated under ONE family account. If you have multiple students in the family attending Middle School (NMS, ERMS) or BHS, you can use one shared family account. Please do not re-register for new accounts in the event you do not remember your login information. There is a link on the website to assist in forgotten usernames/passwords.
Parents, please assist your child with the registration process. The forms online require parental permission and medical information. It is critical to have accurate medical information, consent and contact information on file.
Each season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) you will need to login and register your student for each sport desired. Registering for one season will not carry onto the next. Sports physicals are required and are good for 3 years from date of exam.

You may get an error message when first registering your child that looks like this:
"Verify Student's Information from Activity Scheduler
Student does not exist. Please contact your school administrator."
If you receive this message, please email mevansvorhies@isd191.org. We will manually add your child to your athletic account. Once we have updated your account, we will email you further information.

Ticket Prices: Adults $7.00; Students/Seniors $5.00; (plus service fee)
Spectator Entry begins 30 minutes prior to the start of the contest, except for Football with Gates opening 60 minutes before kickoff. One Ticket is good for both games of a Varsity Soccer Doubleheader.

8TH GRADE & UNDER MUST BE CHAPERONED BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES.
NO BAGS ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR DIAPER BAGS, CLUTCH PURSE, OR MEDICALLY REQUIRED BAGS. ALL BAGS ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH.
NO SPORTING BALLS ALLOWED.
ONLY PLAYERS, COACHES, MANAGERS, OFFICIALS, EVENT STAFF & AUTHORIZED GROUPS ARE PERMITTED INSIDE THE PLAYING AREA FENCE.

The BAC is a volunteer based non-profit organization dedicated to the development of the community's young people through sports. The BAC provides sports supervision and administration for youth athletic activities. The BAC is organized under the direction of a Board of Directors, which is comprised of officers and sport commissioners.
In House sports are open to all residents of Burnsville/Savage and those families residing within the boundaries of Independent School District #191. In House league play is limited to play within the teams of the BAC and concludes with a tournament. Traveling Sports require try-outs and are competitively oriented and typically participate in games and tournaments throughout the metro area.
