The Brompton Gazette 10/15/21
October 15, 2021
Hello Families!
Fall is definitely in the air. It feels like summer was ages ago. There is definitely a routine happening, a sense of normal blankets the school. We have been fortunate to be able to keep teaching and learning. I am getting to see students' work and projects. Students are doing deep thinking and building skills. We are navigating the ins and outs of our days with patience, growth and some fun along the way. Thank you for your support and kindness. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for caring so deeply about Brompton!
Sarah Yee, Principal

Girls Basketball at Lance
2021 Girls Basketball for Middle School Students from KUSD
Attached, is this year’s MS girls basketball schedule. We will be running a full schedule, just as we did prior to last year. Tryouts will begin on 10/18, and the 8th grade playoffs will be held 12/14 through 12/16. Each of those games will be played at the top seeded school’s gym.
Please remember, all charter school students that are interested in playing are ONLY eligible to tryout at their BOUNDARY SCHOOL.
All individuals, including those that are actively participating, are required to wear a mask during practices and competitions. There are currently no spectator capacity limitations, however they are required to wear masks as well.
Achieve 3000
A note of importance about the program:
Achieve 3000 adjusts based on student's response. It is important that the student is the only one doing the work. We use the results to support students reading comprehension. We do not want the results skewed and not receiving the proper support.

Child Care Billing
If you completed a registration packet for our Before/After School Childcare Program,
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are receiving an invoice for the $25 registration fee that means that you completed and signed the Childcare Program Registration Packet. In that packet, the signed policy states that you are "required to create a childcare account with a non-refundable registration fee of $25." (see attached sheet from general packet). The Before/After School Childcare program is a service offered at Brompton that we are able to run with the help of a parent volunteer without having to contract with a larger childcare provider. By completing and signing the registration packet, you agreed that you want to participate in the program so that you are eligible to use this service at any time during this school year. We understand that sometimes parents are not able to provide timely transportation but unfortunately we do not have office staff in the building after 3:30pm that can supervise your child in the case of an emergency. If you have changed your mind, and do not want to have this as a safety net for your child(ren), please let us know by email: bromptonchildcare@gmail.com and we will remove them from the program. Please do again understand, they will not be allowed to drop-in at Childcare this year at any point.
Thank you,
Molly Scuglik
