Hello Cedar Creek Parents and Families,

Next week we celebrate the seashore and our local environment during MARE week! Marine Activities Research Education has been a long standing tradition for the elementary schools. The curriculum originated through Rutgers University where our teachers were trained and provided all the materials to teach our students all about the local habitats and waterways. The students have created and presented some wonderful and outstanding projects! Next week, every class will have the opportunity to participate in an 'in-school' field trip, touring the school building like a big museum to look at all the projects and research!

MARE Spirit Days - Monday 5/23 is dress like a pirate or mermaid and Wednesday 5/25 is Hawaiian Day!

SUMMER ENRICHMENT! The Lacey Township Schools Summer Enrichment program will be running once again. Please open the link below for more information:

Tuesday, May 24th is Prader-Willi Syndrome Awareness Day. The students have learned a little about what this syndrome is during their class morning meetings and how it may effect some of our students here in Cedar Creek. Wear Orange on Tuesday to support our efforts in educating everyone and spreading kindness to those who may be different than us.

Kids Heart Challenge Update - Our students will finally be able to celebrate all of their hard work fundraising for the American Heart Association with our "pie day" on Friday, May 27th. All students will be attending a fun filled assembly on the recess field to watch our top fundraisers "pie" the staff members!

Just a reminder - Friday, May 27th is an early closing at 12:50 PM and Monday, May 30th we are closed for Memorial Day!

Lastly, Our PTA will be sponsoring a Family Night at Via Napoli! Please order lunch or dinner from Via Napoli, mention CCS and help us continue to fundraise for the school! Thank you for your support!

Have a wonderful weekend!

As always, stay well and all the best,

Mrs. Ranuska
