PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear Roosevelt Parents/Guardians,
As we prepare to transition into the hybrid learning model for some students, I will be sharing an overview of the hybrid model with everyone next week. This will include a slideshow which describes each part of the school day including: arrival, classroom instruction, lunch, recess, specials, and dismissal. Please look out for this email.
Also, this week we emailed families (who selected hybrid learning) with your "in person" days (M/T or Th/F). Please contact me if you did not receive an email.
Later this month we will be conducting parent/teacher conferences remotely. Your classroom teacher should be sharing a Sign Up Genius with you to schedule a conference. Please contact your classroom teacher if you did not receive any information about scheduling a conference.
Finally, thank you for your continued patience and encouragement with our school year. Our teachers and staff are in the process of launching a new hybrid model while remaining committed to providing quality instruction to those already in the remote learning model. We are determined to do this right, and will make adjustments along the way.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dwyer, Principal

NEWS BULLETIN
Classroom Teachers Remain the Same
All Roosevelt classroom teachers will continue to work with the same students in the same classroom. While developing the hybrid plan, there was some uncertainty around staffing, but that has been resolved.

Use Headphones with a Microphone
Students are encouraged to bring headphones with a microphone, if possible. While students will enjoy some "screen free" and "live" instruction, there will be some times when they still need to use their device in the classroom.

Halloween Plans
On Wednesday, October 28 students will be invited to wear their costume while participating in remote learning. This will give all students the opportunity to participate in the same manner. Also, given the public health restrictions we are working under, wearing costumes at school is a complicated task. Some room parents may be planning some fun activities with the class on this day.
Friday, October 30: The PTO is planning an outside Halloween activity for students and families on this evening. Stay tuned for more information.
