Cibolo Creek Wins Grant
Cibolo Creek Elementary School E-Learning Teachers won the $2,000 grand prize in the nationwide Aftermath Education Pay it Forward Grant Contest!

Going Above and Beyond
Thank you to Operations Team Members Kelly Workman and Benny Munoz for driving to Tomball to pick up our student Wi-Fi hot spots that were accidentally delivered to Tomball ISD.
Thank you as well to Director of Maintenance Gil Salinas, and Director of Transportation John Ramirez for working out the logistics.
They truly went above and beyond for our students. Great work, guys!
Roving Chef a Hit!
Boerne ISD's new food service provider, SFE, is hosting a Roving Chef Program in our schools. The program consists of healthy food demonstrations and nutrition education lessons.
Each student creates their own meal and receives a certificate of completion, chef hat, and recipe card!
Thank you to Boerne ISD Executive Chef Jose Figueroa Seary, and Nutrition Coordinator Katie Pitchford for implementing the Roving Chef.

Imagine Math Winners
Imagine Math and Boerne ISD would like to recognize the students who worked hard over the summer to keep their math skills sharp. The following students were the winners of the Boerne ISD Stay Strong Contest.

National Merit Commended Scholars
Six Boerne ISD students, three each from Boerne and Champion High School, have earned National Merit Commended Scholar Recognition.
The Chargers Commended Scholars are Connor Berberek, Noah Hendricks, and Noah Champagne, while the Greyhounds Commended Scholars are Cadence Ruiz, Devon Brownlee, and Isaac Olsson.

E-Learning National Anthem
Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary School E-Learning student Abigail Link has been working hard to learn how the play the National Anthem on the keyboard.
She recently showed off her skills during her E-Learning class and did a tremendous job! To view the video from her class please see below.

Students Earn Food Service Certification
Congratulations to Boerne and Champion High SchoolAdvanced Culinary students for earning their National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe Food Manager Certification. 16 students (9 from BHS and 7 from CHS) passed the test.

Boerne and Champion Ranked High by Niche
Boerne and Champion High Schools are ranked in the Top 25 Best Public High Schools in the San Antonio area for 2020-21 by Niche. Champion was ranked #7 and received an A grade, while Boerne rated #9 and also had an A. To view the list please click here.

Top Workplace Stats
As you know, last week Boerne ISD was named a Top Workplace in the San Antonio area by the San Antonio Express-News. BISD was ranked 7th best in the Large Employer category, and the only employer in Kendall County to make the list in that category. The only other school district on the list was Schertz-Cibolo Universal City (ranked 14th).

Thank you for keeping our community safe and putting your lives on the line every day. We are extremely grateful for all you do.
BHS Theatre Can Drive
The Boerne High School Theatre department is challenging organizations across the district to compete in the 1st Annual CANstruction for a Cause!
Teams of students, faculty, and staff will work together to collect canned goods and non-perishable food items to create larger-than-life sculptures that will ultimately be donated to the Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries. Use your imagination and your volunteer spirit to complete for Best Original Design, Structural Ingenuity, and People’s Choice Awards!

The Boerne Cup
Boerne ISD held the 2nd Annual Boerne Cup Golf Tournament on Columbus Day at Buckhorn Golf Course. Boerne and Champion tied to each earn a share of the cup.
Funds raised at the tournament will benefit both the Greyhounds and Chargers Athletic teams.

Student Advisory Meets
The Boerne ISD Student Advisory Committee held its first meeting of the school year last week.
Student leaders from Middle and High Schools meet with Dr. Price to discuss how they can work together to help their fellow students and the BISD community.
