College Signing Day

We are so proud of both of you and know you will thrive at the collegiate level.
IB CAS Project
Hailey Ruesga and Jasmin Chen knew they wanted to do an IB CAS project that supported women in need and help out the environment. With some thoughtful research into community need and meetings with NOH8T club publicist and creative director, Lei Mallonga, and EnviroSci Club, the idea for a ‘thrift-in’ was created. The plan was to take clothing donations from the community and sell them at school, essentially keeping the clothes out of the landfill, providing clothing at an inexpensive price, and then donating the money to a women’s shelter. Any leftover clothing will be donated to a local thrift store or a charity organization. The aim of the IB program is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. It seems that aim is being reached at Rowland High School.
