TMSE Mission, Vision, and Essential Agreements
The mission of the Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools is to motivate students to discover knowledge, create a better world, and serve in a way that respects others.
TMSE inspires students to be lifelong learners, diverse thinkers, and caring individuals while encouraging international mindedness through inquiry.
Today I pledge to be a critical thinker. I will be principled and demonstrate integrity with my actions and my words. I will be a caring person and always treat others with respect.
★I will strive to show the Learner Profile in my actions in and out of the classroom.
★I will embrace the attitudes of an IB learner at all times.
★I will work to make the world around me a better place.
Your before-school routine should include the following:
- Screen your child for symptoms before they arrive at school.
- Do not send sick children to school.
- Provide a water bottle for your child's use. We have several touch-free water fountains available that can refill water bottles.
- Send your child with a face covering that fits properly. Make sure the face covering is not too big or too small. All individuals, whether students, staff, or guests, must wear face coverings while in TCS facilities.
Pending Covid Results
Five (5) Days for Isolation (new). We are following the guidance of using five days for isolation for students and employees who are positive. If a student or employee is positive, they will be required to isolate for five days. When returning after the initial 5 days, they will need to continue to wear a mask for an additional 5 days. Isolation should only end if a person has been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and other symptoms have resolved.
Reporting Positive Cases. Please continue to report to us if your child is symptomatic or positive. To report, please contact our school nurse, Kristina Crow email@example.com.
We thank you for your pateince and support as we work through this difficult time. We remain committed to keeping our students safe.
Happy National School Counseling week to the BEST counselor!
