AP Exam Update for PTHS Students
March 20, 2020
Good morning AP students!
My name is Debbie Terry and I'm the AP Coordinator for Pine Tree High School. I hope all is well with you and your family.
Your teachers are currently developing a plan to continue preparing you for AP Exams.
On Friday, March 20, The College Board updated their website regarding AP testing for this year.
All AP exams will be administered online this year. Students will take a 45-minutes free response exam at home. There will be 2 testing dates for each exam. This will allow students to take the exam sooner rather than later while the content is still fresh, but for students who want more time to study and practice, a later opportunity will also be provided.
The new full exam schedule, specific free-response question types that will be on each AP Exam, and additional testing details will be available announced on April 3. The College Board will unlock any relevant free-response questions in AP Classroom for digital use so students can access all practice questions of the type that will appear on the exam.

Live, Free AP Review Courses
Beginning on Wednesday, March 25, students can attend free, live AP review courses, delivered by AP teachers from across the country. These mobile-friendly classes are:
- Designed to be used alongside work that may be given by schools.
- Will be recorded and available on-demand so teachers and students can access them any time.
- Not dependent on current AP teachers continuing instruction. We know many AP teachers now face challenges that would make that impossible.
- Will focus on reviewing the skills and concepts from the first 75% of the course. There will also be some supplementary lessons covering the final 25% of the course.
