Wizfit Kids Challenge

Friends and families of Green Meadow Elementary School,

Have you heard? The world famous Harlem Wizards are joining the students of Green Meadow Elementary School on 3/10/2021 to help us raise funds for the Green Meadow PTO with their new WizFit Challenge virtual fundraiser and kids experience. During a two-week period, students will watch and participate in an exclusive series of six interactive video episodes led by Harlem Wizard stars Swoop and Broadway. Students will get fit, learn tricks, have fun, and be coached on character by the Wizards.

Our goal is to raise $10000 for the Green Meadow PTO. We're excited to see our school come together in this fundraising program. More details to come soon!

Thank you for your continued support,

Green Meadow PTO

Big picture

The Commonwealth has announced that MCAS will continue this year with greatly reduced testing sessions. Each student in grades 3-5 will take one math and one ELA test this year. Grade 5 will also take one Science test. Additionally, there will not be an option for students to take the test virtually, so we’ll be scheduling our RLA students to come into the building on a few days to take the assessment. More details to come.

Report Cards

Please be on the lookout for your child's next report card which will be available on March 19th on Tyler.

Read Across America

A Virtual Read Across America event will be taking place in the evening of March 2nd, 2021. Students in grades PK-3 will be asked to participate in a virtual pajama party and will be greeted by a surprise guest reader from the community. Links to this event will be shared with parents and students via the school's website on Monday. We hope that everyone can join this PTO sponsored event.

I Station

The Maynard Public School District is beginning Math and Language Arts assessments using ISTATION in the upcoming weeks. This is a formative assessment which is nationally normed. Istation’s Indicators of Progress (ISIP™) measure student growth with engaging, computer-adaptive diagnostic and screening programs.

As the DESE guidelines evolve, Maynard Public School employees are working tirelessly to adjust schedules and plans in order to welcome more students back to the building. Please stay tuned for more information as we receive more guidance from the state of Massachusetts and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Substitutes Needed

Green Meadow is still looking to hire three amazing substitutes to work four days per week with students who are seeking to come to school to complete their remote assignments. If interested, or if you know of someone who is interested, please email Robert Rouleau at
