Hellos and Goodbyes
Thank you to Sherri Harrison, Tobi VanCamp, Tina Cekovic, and Amanda McDevitt as they finish up their time at GES this week. Tina will continue to be seen around GES for several more days as Steve Katch has allowed us to use her as an additional floating sub on a few days that she has available to help alleviate our sub shortage.
Welcome back to Megan Nice and Leah Ebner who return next week from their maternity leaves!
Fun Fair
Schedule:
9:00-11:00am - AM kindergarten, grades 1-3
12:30-2:30pm - grades 4-5, PM kindergarten joins at 12:50pm
*Grade 5 report to lunch line at 12:05pm, report to Fun Fair right after finishing lunch
Students eat lunch in their classrooms with teachers. Teachers should split time among teammates so that everyone spends one hour at the fun Fair. You may use the remaining time for planning and to compensate for your half hour of duty free lunch. Thank you!
Important Reminders for Staff
- Please remove all air fresheners from classrooms.
- Reminder - there should not be couches, coffee makers, microwaves, or mini fridges in classrooms. These items may be in common areas such as the office and faculty room.

Career Readiness Indicators
As a mandate from the state to ensure Career Readiness, all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are required to provide two Career Artifacts by MAY 11th.
Please view the Office Mix video that explains our work related to the requirements of the Career Readiness Indicators. ALL elementary teachers should view the video, but it is especially important for teachers of grades 3-5! Career Activities have already been developed for you.
The link to the Mix can be found here: https://mix.office.com/watch/14umulo2np4af
Third and fourth grade - please put the students' folders inside their F&P folder to pass on to the next teacher. Fifth grade - we will keep your students' folders in a box to pass along to East.
