Butterflies, Warm Spring Days and Playing Outside
We're excited to be back to start talking about all the spring changes we see around us. We're eager to take the children outdoors more often to do most of our learning outside. Please continue to send them to school in appropriate weather clothing. We will attempt to go outside each day. Our theme for the next two weeks will be Spring. During the first week we will focus on the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We will also welcome caterpillars to our classroom. We are eager to see them change to butterflies in the next few weeks. During the second week we will focus on flowers and how they grow. Weatehr will also be an additional part to our theme. We will emphasize sunny, windy, cloudy and rainy.

Kindergarten Round up
Kindergarten Round-Up will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 5pm-7pm.
On this evening you and your child will have the opportunity to meet the Kindergarten Teachers, tour a Kindergarten classroom, take a school bus ride and become more familiar with your child's home school as a fun and enriching Kindergarten year approaches.
*The state cut-off for kindergarten enrollment is August 1st. HSE Schools have an early entrance period for kindergarten from August 1st to September 1st. We are unable to accept any early kindergarten enrollments after September 1st.
To enroll your child, you must bring the documents listed in the e-mail attachment with this newsletter. Additionally, a list of required immunizations can be found on the HSE Health Services page. A chart of required immunizations for each grade level is available there.
*Many of the schools have early registration and will allow you to pick up an enrollment packet before 4/16 by showing all necessary documents (see e-mail attachment). Call your child's home school for further information.

( rain, wind, sun), springtime activities (visits to the park, riding bikes, flying kites, picnics, butterflies, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and planting flowers) to name a few. We will spend some time outside watching clouds and going on scavenger hunts to find and see springtime treasures. We will read books, plant a pretend garden, sing songs, and play games and complete activities that allow us to follow directions, learn new vocabulary, match, associate, draw conclusions, and sequence information related to our theme. Be sure to read the weekly speech sheet in your child's daily folder for home activities to help generalize skills outside of the classroom setting. Go outside and play with your children.... have fun and enjoy this beautiful weather!
We love swings!
Flowers
We will talk about flowers and how they grow the second week of our Spring theme.
