Elevate & Celebrate Teaching & Teachers of Fayette County
Understanding Equity: Personal, Academic and Systemic
ECET2Lex - "Understanding Equity: Personal, Academic and Systemic"
ECET2Lex will focus on equity in education for ALL students. Our planning team is designing events that look at equity through three lenses:
- Personal equity - How do students and their teachers perceive equity in our relationships, personal interactions, and reflections
- Academic equity - How do our classroom practices create a climate that allows all students to do their best?
- Systemic equity - How do our school, our district, and our state's systems support all students?
Sessions will focus on creating experiences for teachers that celebrate our efforts to create equitable environments and empower us to make improvements that benefit our kids.
Teachers leave ECET2 convenings with:
- tools, best practices, and hands-on experiences
- a network that they can call upon for perspectives, advice, feedback, and strategies
- resources that help them improve their classroom practice, build the capacity of their peers, and drive school-level change.
GROW: ECET2 convenings enable meaningful professional growth and learning among participating teachers.
COLLABORATE: ECET2 convenings enable participants to collaborate with peers in their schools, districts, and beyond.
LEAD: ECET2 convenings empower teachers to take action in their classrooms, schools, districts, and communities in meaningful ways.
