COMMUNITY SERVICE SHOUT OUTS!
**FROM THE Elkhart Community Schools Facebook Page:
Our hearts are overwhelmed by our amazing students today. Students in the firefighting program at ECS' Elkhart Area Career Center showed their unity for a program brother – Joey Barnhart – who is fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, by shaving their heads. Students from Elkhart Central, Elkhart Memorial, Penn, Mishawaka, Goshen and Concord came together to support Joey, who is a student at Mishawaka High School. We are so proud of these students, and we stand behind Joey, his family and his brothers in their fight against cancer. The thoughts and unwavering support of Elkhart Community Schools and the Elkhart Area Career Center are with you, Joey!
A very heartfelt thank you to area firefighters for attending today and showing your support for Joey! Also, thank you to Sergio Corporation, Adam’s Cakes, The Snack Box, The EACC Photography Program and The EACC Cosmetology Program for donating time, effort and supplies Jan. 30th! See pics below!
