A MESSAGE FROM MR. LUCITA
Dear Jaguar Band Families,
Welcome to our final week before we are out for the Christmas Break!
This is a week of celebration, reflection and planning. We want to celebrate a wonderful concert this past Saturday night and thank everyone that helped make it such a success! Thank you to our students who have been preparing the music for the last few weeks! We also want to acknowledge our virtual students who were able to come to the after school rehearsals and participate in the concert! It was great to see so many of our students participating, and we are super happy that we could provide a performance opportunity and still practice our COVID-19 protocols. Lastly we want to thank the parent and student volunteers who provided the beautiful lights and decorations! There was an incredible group of volunteers that came to JHS Saturday morning to decorate and transform our outdoor theater into a Winter Wonderland! Thank you to everyone involved!
We are anxiously awaiting the judging and results for the TMEA Region 18 Band Auditions. We are hopeful to have results by the end of the week! We wish all of our student that submitted a recording the very best of luck!
Our focus this week will be on helping our students select their solos as they prepare for UIL Solo & Ensemble. Solo & Ensemble will be held at Hays HS on February 6th. We will also be looking ahead to UIL Concert & Sightreading Evaluation.
Finally we want to wish all of our students and their families a very happy and safe holiday season!

Other Things You Want to Know!
- Check out the new Johnson Band Spirit Gear! JB Band Merchandise is now in stock! Check out our online store for performance style caps, hoodies, long sleeve t-shirts and short-sleeved t-shirts. Both long and shirt sleeve t-shirts are available in a large JB logo and small JB logo style and have "Buda, TX" down the back.
- The show shirts (JOHNSON: This is Us!) Some sizes are still available! Get yours while supplies last!
- Johnson: This is Us! Christmas Ornament is available for purchase on our online store! Order yours by midnight on Tuesday, December 15th and we will get your ornament to your student to take home by break, Friday, December 18th!

Rookie Corner
Parent Section Leads!
Your "Parent Section Lead" should have contacted you or will be contacting you soon! These parents will be available to you as a first source of information! This will be a great way for us to not only improve our lines of communication but to build relationships in our Jaguar Band family during a challenging time - something that is usually easier to do when we are all seeing each other so often during a regular "Bandtober"! So keep your eyes open for an email from your Parent Section Lead!
Volunteer !
The end of marching season does not mean the end of volunteering! In fact, we will start preparing for the 2021 marching season this Spring, so please know that we will be reaching out via email soon! Or better yet, let us know if you have any particular interests by filling out our Committee Interest Form!
Communications
The band directors and boosters primarily rely on Charms to communicate information. Make sure your information is up to date in Charms. Reminder that the Jaguar Band school code is: JohnsonJaguarBand

Band Sponsorships and opportunity to put Student names on trailer!
The Johnson Jaguar Band depends in large part on the fundraising efforts of the Band Boosters. Sponsorships are a very important part of fundraising. Our Sponsorship levels have been updated, and we have a lot of exciting options for businesses AND families! We ask that every family please share this brochure with anyone you know that has a business. We are eager to help promote businesses in our community that support the Jaguar Band! If you would like color copies of our Sponsorship Brochure, we are happy to provide them.

A new addition to our Sponsorship options is the Friends and Family Level. This level offers various options for businesses as well as an option for band families: For $200, you can have your child’s name and graduation year on our band trailer indefinitely with the option to simultaneously add sibling name for an additional $100.
