Mrs. Pierce's Post

Week of April 4, 2016

WeLcOmE BaCk!

Spring is HERE!! Despite Mother Nature's confusion, I hope your break was enjoyable and rejuvenating! It is hard to believe that our year of kindergarten is almost over! Time gets away so quickly! With only 9 short weeks left we have hit "crunch time!" Spring brings lots of fun and schedules become more busy, so let's remember to continue working together to get our kids ready for next year! Below are a few reminders to help guide you at home...

  • Students need to reach level D in reading to be ready for 1st grade
  • Rainbow sight words can prepare your child to be more than ready for 1st grade
  • Listening to your child read, reading with your child, or reading to your child are all supportive of your childs' learning
  • Questions to ask your child about stories read... Is this a fiction or non-fiction story and why? What is this story mostly about? What does this story remind you of?
