We hear of stories of single parents working two - three jobs in order for them to support their family. That is because malti national companies like McDonald's are not giving there workers a living wage therefore that single job is not sufficient for workers to "get by". Workers across North America will continue to stand together to fight for their fair pay. What is more surprising is the CEO of McDonalds is currently making a salary of $9,247 an hour ($840 more then the average Canadian worker) .

Median wage for fast-food workers: C$11.44 an hour

According to the median wage for fast food workers of C$11.44 an hour and a 40 hour work week, the average employee is only making C$22,880 a year.

I am glad that company's like McDonald's follow the workers wage laws around the world, then again is that enough? People around the world are feeling the impact of low paying jobs wile the CEO's sit back and receive a large amount of money. I challenge you to stand up for higher wages and until a change is made stop eating at fast food chains.
