Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast

A Message from the Director
Parents and students,
I hope everyone in the Phoenix Family are rested, recharged and ready for a successful spring semester! We begin on Tuesday, January 8 with Winter Bridge! CA students will be preparing for TSI and EOC exams, along with college readiness activities to be ready for the spring college semester!
As we begin this semester, I would like to remind parents and students that CA students are NOT permitted to drop any college class without going through the CA counseling office. Students that drop courses without permission will not be able to enroll in that class again for free. CA students are privileged to be able to earn college credit at no cost, but with that privilege comes responsibility.
Here are some reminders about college courses: Students may not drop a course that they are passing because they want a higher grade and then take the course again for free. Students that fail a course may only repeat the course one more time for free. The third try, the student must pay for the course. TCC NE is a great supporter of Collegiate Academy and we appreciate them. We must make sure we are good stewards of the opportunity for a free college education. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Seniors that are on Optional Flexible School Day do not need to attend school on January 8. Seniors are invited to attend the First CA Internship/Job Fair on Thursday, January 10 at 8:35am at Center Corner on the TCC NE campus.
TCC college classes begin on Monday, January 14.
As the New Year begins choose a positive attitude, focus on doing your best, and leave past failures in the past!
FROM THE DEAN'S DESK
We will have a new procedure for issuing textbooks this semester. Students will receive grade-specific instructions by email on Monday, January 7 for how to pick up TCC textbooks for the Spring semester.
As a reminder, students should be checking email on a daily basis!
All currently issued textbooks textbooks for the fall semester, except Vistas Spanish textbooks, should be returned to Mr White's office the week of January 8.
