Sock Drive
WHY are there monsters hanging out in front of the media center you ask!!!!
The student council is conducting a sock drive that will benefit the homeless in the Cleveland area. The monsters are made from stray socks who have lost their way! We are collecting socks to help people who may have lost their homes and are now homeless. Socks are one of the most requested items needed by people who live on the streets or without a permanent place to call home. We hope you will help us to feed the monster boxes with lots and lots and lots of socks because they are VERY HUNGRY!!
Drop off boxes are located at the entrance to the library and the vestibule .
What's Happening at Kinsner?!
PBIS isn’t a curriculum you purchase or something you learn during a one-day professional development training. It is a commitment to addressing student behavior through systems change. When it’s implemented well, students achieve improved social and academic outcomes, schools experience reduced exclusionary discipline practices, and school personnel feel more effective.
Students are taught the basics of Mustang P.R.I.D.E. (Prepared, Respectful, Inclusive, Determined and Engaged). As classes demonstrate the characteristics of P.R.I.D.E., they are awarded a "class complement" which gets charted on our Horse Track (see above) as students work around the track classes are awarded for their complements with P.J. Day, class-wide game/activities, and even extra recess.
By teaching these skills, we see improved student behavior and fewer office discipline referrals.
