Behaviorism
Plastic surgery addiction is under the "behaviorism" category because it has nothing to do with chemical addictions. A behaviorism addiction is when you are obsessed with a certain behavior. Usually the root cause of a plastic surgery addiction is some kind of insecurity. This addiction is faced by both men and women.
Why Plastic Surgery?
When someone is addicted to plastic surgery, they can't have just one surgery and be happy with the way they look. Most cases feel the need to alter a lot of things on their body so they can be 'perfect'. But when you're addicted and have insecurities there is no perfect seen. So they just keep getting more and more surgeries until before they know it they re out of control.
what is BDD?
BDD stands for 'Body Dysmorphic Disorder'. BDD is when someone always finds some kind of flaw with them self. This normally affects their everyday life and they go to extremes to fix every imperfection. People who have this condition can get addicted to plastic surgery pretty easy.
