Help!!
I am coming to parents/guardians asking for help and support. There are rules in the handbook that students are asked to follow. If students do not follow rules, in an effort to keep order, consequences have to be given. These rules are in place to keep students safe and engaged in their learning. I need help from all of you to enforce students making positive choices.
Over the last few weeks, I have been dealing with an immense amount of discipline. We have students being extremely unkind to one another, property being destroyed and then "normal' rules being broken. I understand we are getting close to the end of the year, but we need students to feel safe and receive an uninterrupted learning environment.
Our goals are to make Lebanon a great place, to have excellence in education everyday and to have exciting opportunities for students. In order to continue meeting these goals, we need your support. I am open to feedback and suggestions and appreciate all of your support.
Junior High Changes
There have been a few changes made in the Junior High due to the challenges we are having in the hallways, bathrooms, locker rooms and classrooms. Students will not be unsupervised during the school day due to these behaviors. Students will not be dressing out for PE and students will be escorted by their teacher to their next class. All students will be following the same schedule, for now. There are many students that have unfortunately had to endure unkind things happening and those students who are making good choices will receive the privileges back very soon. We have so many positive activities planned like the dance and end of year celebration. We also are having our purse bingo to pay for incentives for good behavior and activities. I want all students to be able to attend activities and receive the incentives. Please call me if you have any questions or concerns. I truly appreciate all of your support.
