Fall Concert Help Needed

Dear Choir Family,

A huge thank you to all the parents who have signed up already!!!!

As we are 18 days away from the first concert, I would like to ask those of you who have not had a chance to look at the Sigh-Up Genius for this concert to please do so.

At this point we need many more chaperones to help keep the students safe and supervised backstage. Please know that when you chaperone you will absolutely still be able to see your student perform. Once they head to line up for their stage entrance, please walk to the lobby area and Barb Sullivan, our House Manager, will show you where you will be able to see them perform. Once they are finished, you will rejoin them in their dressing room.


With over 400 students changing clothes, preparing to take the stage, and socializing backstage, it is absolutely IMPERATIVE that we have volunteer parents on hand to help keep an eye on things and help when needed. PLEASE consider signing up to help. You DO NOT have to volunteer to help with your own child's choir. You are welcome to assist with another ensemble.


This also does not ONLY have to be parents. Other adults, grandparents, family members, and even adult siblings are welcome to sign up. The only stipulation is that all volunteers have completed the district requirements for volunteers who will be with students. You can find those details at this link:

Strapless Bra Fittings this Wednesday 9/13 During SSRT

If any girls are still in need of a high quality, supportive strapless bra for performances, we cannot recommend this enough. princess academy registration starts Sept. 23 at 8am

Registration begins in two weeks for the Carmel Choirs annual Princess Academy sponsored by the Accents. This is the hottest ticket in town for children ages 4-8. Only 300 spots available and it typically sells out within about 48 hours so be ready to register online at 8am on Saturday, September 23 at the link below.

Hire Select Sound to Sing at your Holiday Event

Holiday Carolers For Hire! Do you have a party or holiday event coming up this Christmas season? You can hire members of our Select Sound acappella ensemble to be carolers at your event! They can be dressed in traditional Victorian Dickens costumes, or just in modern festive attire. They can be a featured performance, or just strolling and singing in the background of your event. Donations help send the students to acappella festivals, hire clinicians, commission arrangements, and support the Carmel Choir Program. Their schedule is already filling up quickly, so contact kkouns@ccs.k12.in.us to check availability and discuss the details of your event.

As stated in class and at the parent meeting last week, we have the opportunity of offering private voice lessons here at CHS. The teachers that come in are extremely qualified. Lessons can be taken during your choir class, after school, or during SSRT. All the information is on the Google form linked below. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. I highly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity if you are able to do so and interested as well! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

If you have not heard, Carmel PorchFest provides a grant program for young musicians. You simply need to sign up to volunteer for Carmel PorchFest (different jobs and shifts are available and you can sign up for more than one shift.) And you get a free T-Shirt!

RaiseRight is an AMAZING way to earn funds towards paying off choir fees and trips. 100% of the profit earned by you goes towards your child's account. Multiple people can earn for one student so even out of town friends and family can sign up to support your child. We HIGHLY recommend this great program.
