Weekly Warrior Update
#worldchangingwarriors
Word for the Warrior
We had a fantastic first week of school!
Thank you for all of your support! Thank you for joining us for our Back-to-School Bash, thank you for making sure your children got a good night's sleep, thank you for sending their school supplies and MOST of all thank you the encouragement you provide your child each day in working hard at school! It shows!
Our "Homework Help" for students begins this week! Each day, we have an opportunity for students to do their homework in the library from 2:45-3:30 in the presence of an adult who can help them! If your child stays for Homework Help, please pick them up at the front door of the school at 3:30. This opportunity provides students (and parents) with the chance to put first things first and finish homework before going home!
Each week, I will send this Weekly Warrior Update. We hope to capture the week's events and information in this update. If you have any questions, please feel free to call 378-2450 and we will be happy to clarify or talk more about any information shared!
Please join us for our Open House next Tuesday, August 21 from 4:30-6:00. We invite you to drop in when convenient for you to visit classrooms, go to our Book Fair, hear our chorus sing and stop by our Back-to-School tables that may assist you in learning more about life and opportunities at JSMS!
Proud to be a Warrior!

Volunteer Opportunities!
We love parent volunteers! If you would like to volunteer at Sevier, we have some upcoming activities in which we could use your assistance!
We would like help with our upcoming book fair NEXT WEEK (August 20-24). Please call 378-2450 and ask to speak with Michelle Loudermilk (media specialist) if you would like to volunteer in this way!
Another volunteer opportunity is to assist our 6th Grade teachers by selling pizza at our Open House that will be held on Tuesday, August 21 from 4:30-6:00. All proceeds support our 6th Graders going to Camp Explore. Please call 378-2450 and ask for Debbie Moore if you are interested in this volunteer opportunity!
