Gresham Go - To

Weekly Staying Connected

Week of November 30 - December 6

Our First Sunday of Advent has come and gone - but we hope the message hasn't. We heard about peace and how God is with us! More than ever the peace of God is what will continue to sustain us and bring us through.

Remember that we will continue to be "Home for the Holidays" until the New Year! But there are still ways to encourage and connect with each other during the week. In this newsletter, keep an eye out for ministry opportunities.

Virtual Meetings:

Sunday school on Facebook - Gresham Bible Study - will still be at 9:30 am.

Worship service will follow on Facebook - Gresham Salvation Army at 10:30 am.

Please continue to pray for us as we navigate this very busy Christmas season. All your support is needed.

Delivering LOVE this Saturday, Dec. 5

Delivering LOVE how this Saturday?

1) We would like to give you, our church families, a little love with a little early Christmas gift if you are able to come out. Please swing by at 10:30 am for a drive through pick up.

2) We would also ask if you'd please help us deliver care packages to senior care facilities this Saturday? You don't have to pass them out, just merely bring them to the facilities. We will have all the boxes ready @ 10:30 am. But, we'll need many drivers - please reach out as we cannot do it without you!

Walmart Support

  • From November 2 through December 31, Walmart customers will have the opportunity to round-up their purchase to the nearest dollar in order to make a financial contribution to The Salvation Army.
  • The round-up option will be available to Walmart (not Sam’s Club) customers in-store, at manned cash registers (not self-check-out) and online, via and their app.
  • Walmart Toy Registry is where you can purchase toys for the Angel Tree.
  • (Amazon Wishlist is a second place where you can purchase toys for the Angel Tree).

Christmas Toys

We have reached our capacity for Angel Tree Toy Requests. Although, our application process is done for our area, there's still more work to go. We are actively seeking volunteers and volunteer groups who can help us prepare for our big distribution day.

We also we request if you can purchase a toy to help with this event - please remember there are toy registries set up to help you.

Rescue Christmas

This year, the need is greater. With more people hurting and fewer Red Kettles to help them, your generosity helps rescue Christmas for the most vulnerable. You can help Rescue Christmas right now by visiting our Virtual Red Kettle at

You can also donate through the QR code right now through your mobile device.

Remind App

Please help us keep you informed by signing up for the Remind App. Simply follow the directions. The goal is to touch base with a newsletter once a week and avoid 25 responses to a group text. This is a secure way for us to do this.
