Catholic School's Week 2020

January 26th - 31st

It's time to start CELEBRATING our Catholic School! Check out these themed days for this super, special Catholic School's Week! More details to come...stay tuned!

Sunday, January 26th - Celebrating Our Parish!

All school families are invited to celebrate Mass together at 11:30am. Please have your child wear our blue "Make Christ Present in the World" t-shirt to Sunday's Mass! We will have our school open house immediately following Mass, bring your friends!

Monday, January 27th - Celebrating Our Community!

Students are invited to dress out of uniform by wearing costumes representing community service men and women. The BGFD and BGPD will be joining us for lunch!

Tuesday, January 28th - Celebrating Our Students!

Students are invited to dress out of uniform today (no sweat pants due to Mass). Get ready for a day full of fun, plus another open house during our school day!

Wednesday, January 29th - Celebrating Our Nation!
Students are invited to dress in their best patriotic gear. Let's be extra proud to be Americans this day!

Thursday, January 30th - Celebrating Vocations

Students are invited to "Make Christ Present..." by being extra friendly to the Earth in their attire today! Borrow, thrift, or recycle household goods to create an outfit OR wear a blue, green, or Earth inspired shirt (accessories may be added after Mass).

Friday, January 31st - Celebrating Faculty, Staff, & Volunteers

We've got spirit, yes we do! Students are invited to wear your best Holy Name gear as we get fired up for the annual Staff vs. 8th Grade volleyball match!

***As always, students who do not wish to participate in our dress-up days will need to wear their full school uniform.

PTO News

Box Tops Contest!

Would your family like to earn a SkyZone gift package that includes a drawstring bag and (2) 1-hour passes? Well the PTO would like to see your family’s Box Top activity. To be entered into the drawing, your family must turn in a minimum of (1) Box Top Clip and (1) Box Top Receipt Scan from 2020. It’s pretty easy. We will gladly accept more than one, but one step at a time. If you would like to be entered into the drawing, complete the Clip & Scan handout coming home with your student (remember, you only need (1) of each kind on be entered). Make sure you include the names of all your students on the sheet to be entered. All extra clips can be turned into your student’s teacher or office. There are forms in the office for all the extra clips. The deadline for entering the drawing will be on February 28, 2020.

I’m sure you’ve seen all the new changes with the Box Tops for Education program. This streamlined effort is efficient, but not thorough. It only works if we use it! Our PTO is able to serve the staff and students many treats throughout the school year (For example: the annual theme spirit wear shirts, a scholarship to a graduating student and the Kona Ice Truck on field day). We would love to support the teachers in many more ways, but we need the continued support of our school community to do it.

PTO Staff Luncheons

Yesterday a Jupiter email went out titled ‘Celebrating Our Staff for CSW’. It included a signup genius for the staff luncheon next Friday during Catholic Schools Week. There may be a few items or volunteer opportunities still listed (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0448afa722a7f58-wearesouper). If it fills up too fast, don’t worry, we will still need some help later in the year! There will be 2 more staff appreciation luncheons this school year. Grades 5 & 6 will sponsor the 3rd Quarter lunch in late February and Grades 3 & 4 will sponsor the 4th Quarter lunch in early May. More information will be sent by Jupiter emails closer to time. Thank you for all you do to show your appreciation for our awesome Giant staff!
