Last Day to Change Specials Schedules

The last day to change a special class for 1st semester is September 13th. Specials can be changed again at the semester break. If you would like to change your child's specials schedule, please sent a note to the counselors (Mrs. Asher A-K and Mrs. Bachmann L-Z).

Walk-A-Thon is coming!


Calling E.H. Greene Superheroes!! Our annual Walk-A-Thon fundraiser will be held Thursday September 26, 2019. Your student will be receiving their packet at school on Tuesday when we kick-off our pledge drive! Money raised through the Superhero Walkathon goes to support the school including Arts Alive, Aviation Station/STEAM bus, teacher appreciation lunches, field day, playground upgrades, and teacher/school gift requests. In addition, this year, we will be donating 15% of our proceeds to Sycamore Bridges, a non profit organization that directly serves individuals and families in need in our district!


Students can earn prizes by collecting monetary pledges! We've got amazing prizes this year including: EH Greene Carnival tickets, Rhino’s Frozen Yogurt & Soft Serve, Dave & Buster’s, Kenwood-Mariemont-Esquire Theatres, Dart Dash and more! Every student who collects $100 will receive an EH Greene AVES T-shirt!

We are asking for healthy snack donations for the day of the event. Please watch for the signup to donate apples and/or oranges (small easy to peel) on the day of the event!

Look for your student to bring home their Superhero Walk-A-Thon packet that includes additional information and sponsor sheet on Tuesday, 9/10. Greene School Shoe Collection

In conjunction with our upcoming Walkathon, we will be giving back to our local community by collecting GENTLY used adult and kid shoes (*no cleats or dance shoes) for the Cincinnati Freestore Foodbank's "Back on Track" program. A shoe collection bin will be located outside the cafeteria during Parent Lunch Week September 9-13, and then will be relocated to the main lobby.

There are so many ways you can get involved at the Greene School. Our PTO offers many programs from whole school events like the Walk-a-thon to classroom activities facilitated by homeroom parents. Below you will find information and links to get involved!


Join the EH Greene PTO

Your membership dues support many activities and programs at E.H. Greene including assemblies, field day, science programs, new technology, community outreach, staff appreciation, and much more! PTO members also receive access to an app called “Directory Spot “ which allows you to access the student directory electronically. The date for the roll-over cut off for free and reduced-price meals benefits is quickly approaching. On September 25th, if you have not filled out a new free and reduced-price meal application your student(s) will lose their benefits. Apply online today: https://sycamore.payschools.com or fill out a paper application and turn it into the office. Contact the Child Nutrition Office with questions - (513) 686-1796.

JUNIOR HIGH FLIGHT FEST 2019

FLIGHT FEST - OCTOBER 19, 2019!

Mark your calendars for the 9th Annual Sycamore Junior High Aviator Flight Fest 2k/5k/10k Race on Saturday, October 19, 2019! Please visit our website at www.aviatorflightfest.com to Register for the Race, Sign Up to Volunteer or learn more about Family Sponsorships.

The first 100 people to register for the race will be entered in a raffle to win one of two fun gift cards!

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!

We are looking for volunteers to help us distribute Flight Fest Yard Signs! You can Sign Up online at www.aviatorflightfest.com. All yard signs will be available for pick up at SJH on Wednesday, September 11 from 5-6 pm! If you are unable to pick up your signs, we can even deliver them to you that week!
