Because the Koi is a bony-fish and a ray-finned fish it belongs to thevlass of Actinopterygii.
Reproduction
Koi reproduce through spawing in which a female lays a vast number of eggs and one or more males fertilize them . Koi will produce thousands of offspring from a single spawing. However the large majority of these offspring will not be acceptable as nishikigoi (they have no interesting colors). So the Koi is a oviparous fish.
Environment
The Koi is a fish which is kept for decorative purposes in outdoor koi ponds or water gardens. It is unusal to find a Koi in the wild.
Koi fish live in fresh water.

The Koi is a Japanese Fish but in almost every country it is people like to have a Koi as a pet
Why did I choose this fish?
I chose this fish because we have some Koi fish in Switzerland. These fish are so beautiful and it is a my hobby to take care of the fish and I also built their pond.
