Reader's Theatre

Students will be showing off their amazing reading skills at our Team Allster Reader's Theatre performance! Students will be doing their play on either May 15 or May 16 at 2:15pm. Here is the schedule of which plays will be on Monday and Tuesday. Make sure to ask your child which play(s) he or she is in so you know which day to come. We hope you can make it!

Monday: One Giant Leap, Welcome to Waterworld, The Day I Followed the Pickle

Tuesday: The Star Spangled Banner Story, No Math Day at School, Why the Moon Changes in the Night Sky

Springfield Cardinals Field Trip - Wednesday, May 17th

Our field trip to the Springfield Cardinals game will be this Wednesday, May 17th. Students will be given a water bottle to bring to the game. If you want your child to wear sunscreen, please apply before sending your child to school. We will be leaving around 9:00am and will return to Jeffries around 1:30pm. Make sure your child is at school on time. Also, please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes.

Chromebook Collection Day

On Friday, May 19th we will be collecting all student Chromebooks. Your child needs to make sure to turn in his/her Chromebook, charger, and case. Please be looking for these items now so that on Friday your child can complete the collection process. Thank you!

Make your mark at Explore!

This summer, Explore will offer students eight weeks of exciting opportunities to pursue their unique interests and passions. Each day will be packed with engaging, relevant and personal learning opportunities, enriched by integrated technology, exciting field experiences and hands-on activities.Artworks will also be offered free at two locations, plus students can choose to stay all day to enrich their experience.There will be two sessions of Explore. Session I could start as early as May 30, depending on the actual last day of the regular school year. The last day of Session I will be June 28. Session II will be held July 5-July 28. Free transportation will be offered for eligible students and free breakfast and lunch will be served daily at every school. Elementary students will attend classes Monday through Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. (except Hickory Hills, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). Registration for elementary students begins Feb. 16.
