Calming Your Child's Fears
In times like these, it may be hard to explain to your children what is actually happening right now. If you are not talking to them about it, they will hear about it from those who are misinformed. If you need ideas on how to talk to your child and clam their fears about Coronavirus use this brochure for some guidance.
Please know that we are here to help. If you or someone you know is need of support, please contact our counselors Mrs. Brown & Mrs. Malesh by emailing them at mmalesh@ccps.org or nmbrown@ccps.org.

Medications at School
Since we will not be returning to school this year, it is important to remember that if your child requires medication to be administered at school in the fall, the appropriate paperwork must be filled out by a physician. The order form must also be signed by the physician and the parent/guardian. Also, please remember that students may not bring medication to and from school. All medicine must be brought in and/or picked up by a parent/guardian for safety reasons. Thank you for your understanding. You can find medication order forms on the CCPS website under the parents' directory tab, or click here.
If you have any questions/concerns for the school nurse, you can reach Nurse Erin via email at eabranscome@ccps.org or leave a message via phone at 410-996-5090.
At Home Connection
Our Media Specialist has put up Google Classroom "fun extra" assignments for grades 2-5 in her Media Google Classroom. Here is how to access those assignments: On district-issued Chromebooks - the students log in and the Google Classroom icon should be at the top of the toolbar.
For students using parent devices, go to the link below.
https://edu.google.com/intl/en/products/classroom/?modal_active=none
Select “Go to Classroom.” Students will need to log in with their CCPS log in credentials. All the classrooms that the student is a part of will show up.
Library Media: I’ve posted several “fun” assignments for students to do over this furlow! With these “assignments,” students may comment to me privately, and I can help them with whatever issues they may encounter with tech or assignments.
We now have unlimited access to BrainPop while our school remains closed. We can log in to any of the BrainPOP sites: BrainPOP, BrainPOP Jr., BrainPOP ELL, BrainPOP Français + Español.
