Updated Dismissal Procedures
Beginning Monday, November 2, 2020, HSE elementary schools will be moving back bus dismissal time to 3:30 p.m. due to the increases in car rider traffic. This adjustment is necessary to allow additional time between car rider and bus departure. In addition to improving the traffic flow, this staggered dismissal time will help ensure social distancing of students during the dismissal process. Please check Skyward Family Access over the weekend for the adjusted time your child will arrive at their drop-off location.
Car rider departure time will remain the same. We appreciate your continued patience as we safely support the car rider dismissal process.
Virtual Enrichment Sessions
We are continuously monitoring student attendance at afternoon enrichment sessions for virtual learners. Because some learners are taking advantage of opportunities to be involved with their classroom teachers and peers, revisions to our afternoon sessions will begin next week.
Beginning next week, the 2:30 enrichment time will continue, but there will likely be some adjustments to the 1:00 session. Please be watching for information from your child's teacher regarding these changes.
Counselor's Corner
Dear HPE Families,
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and our efforts to slow the spread, as well as keep our students, staff, families, and community members healthy, HPE will not be providing direct supports for winter/holiday assistance this year.
Instead, here are some local assistance programs to consider. (These opportunities are time sensitive and applying sooner than later will increase your chances of having access to the supports.)

Coats for Kids
Does your child need a coat for this winter? Registration is open for Hamilton County Kids Coats. Follow the link below to make an appointment. The pickup for Fishers will be Saturday, Nov. 7th, from 9am-noon, at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church.
Support Our Library
Birthday books with donor plates are also available. You can purchase at any time, even if your child's birthday has passed. Students love seeing their name and friends' names in books in the library.
Click here to donate! Thank you for your support!
Curbside Continues for Virtual Learners
Virtual learners can use HSE Curbside service to borrow books from the library.
Full time virtual students will be able to place 4 books on hold weekly. On Wednesdays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., I will be leaving out a book cart in the front vestibule. The curbside pick up book cart is organized by grade level. All book stacks will have a name tag to help you get the right one. You can just walk in, grab your book stack, and go. No need to sign in or check in. There will also be a book bin for you to return materials as you finish with them. Make sure to place your holds by noon on Tuesday to allow processing time. Happy reading!

For Kroger, login to your online account or create one using the Kroger Plus Card number you already have or get a new one. Then go to www.kroger.com/communityrewards and enroll in Community Rewards.
