We will be learning all about apples next week! If you can donate, we would love red apples, yellow apples, green apples, and anything else apple related (apple juice, apple chips, applesauce, etc.) We will be tasting, graphing, exploring and creating things with apples.
If you're able to donate something to our class, please send them in by Friday, September 7th.
Please email me if you are planning on bringing in something so that I know what I need to pick up this weekend.
My email is: jlo@natomasunified.org
Thank you!
Matey Messages
First NP3 Elementary Movie Night of the year is happening this Friday, September 7th from 6 PM - 8 PM. We will be watching Wreck It Ralph! Please see the attached flyer for more information.
- Student Belongings: Please be sure to label all of your student's items with their name (ex: water bottles, jackets, lunch pails). We have many water bottles that are in the lost and found and look similar. We can help you out by labeling water bottles with your students name if it doesn't already have it on there!
- STORM Program starting Wednesday! There is still time to sign up. See attached flyer for more information.
Runnin for Rhett will be offered to 3rd-5th graders this fall by Mr. Jones. Younger students will be added if there is space. The program is to honor a young man, Rhett Severs, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In honor of Rhett, we be offering the program from Wednesday, October 17th to November 30th. Each practice will be from 2:45-4:00 on Wednesdays and Fridays. We will emphasize fun, character building, and running techniques. All levels are encouraged to participate. The culminating activity is a maraFUNrun on Saturday December 1st. There is no cost, and each child will receive a t-shirt and medal for finishing the maraFUNrun. More details of the story of Rhett and permission slips will be discussed in PE over the next few weeks. If you have any questions visit the foundations web page at www.runninforrhett.org.
