A Message from the Principal

Dear Ramona Parents,

As always, there are many important updates from our site and the District, so make sure to read everything below and click on all links so you can be in the know! Please remember to update your Parent Portal and Annual Forms! We are hosting a drive through Ice Cream Party for the first 10 classes to reach 90% completion, so help your student with that wonderful prize and get informed in the process! Also, if you need help, beginning Thursday, October 1st through Friday, October 10th, there will be staff out front during Grab-N-Go lunch time to assist you. There is a lot going on in October so STAY TUNED!


3rd Grade Winner

Congratulations to Julissa Magana for being selected as the STAR Student for September 28th through October 2nd. She also wins a $25 Gift Card. Way to go Julissa!


Mrs. Williams always goes above and beyond for Ramona and her students. She is continuously forging into the unknown with new technology and programs, and not only working until mastery, but helping her colleagues get up and running! She is always out front handing out special prizes to her students recognizing their hard work, and does whatever is needed, and always with a smile! We're lucky to have you Mrs. Williams!


Sorry, I heard this Friday was Sports Day so I got carried away supporting my team! Come to Terrier Live this Friday dressed in your favorite sports gear and show your team spirit! Please use this Spirit Day Schedule through October.

October is Bullying Prevention Month

Message from the Counselor!

Every October, schools and organizations across the country join STOMP Out Bullying in observing National Bullying Prevention Month. The goal: encourage schools, communities and organizations to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying and put an end to hatred and racism by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of all forms of bullying on all children of all ages. We want to do our part in participating and show of support against bullying. I've created a week of challenges beginning October 5, 2020, for us all. Get ready, get set, GO!

Upcoming Events for Next Week for Bullying Prevention Week October 5-October 9

  • Monday- #Blueup wear blue to support World Day of Bully Prevention.
  • Tuesday- Challenge yourself to show kindness to someone new in your class or community. Wednesday- Be the solution. Show how can you support bullying/cyberbullying prevention? Thursday- Share affirmations, send a positive note to friends, family, or someone new.
  • Friday- Be a leader. Make the commitment to prevent bullying. Sign the pledge and share it!

Update your Parent Link and Annual Forms

It's that time of your to update your parent information and the annual forms. You can click on your parent portal and follow the directions. If you don't have a parent portal account, you can easily create one through the MVUSD Parent Link.The first ten classes that reach 90% completion receives a drive-through Ice Cream party! If you need any assistance, please contact our front office for support!

Please complete the Annual Information Update. This is required for all parents to ensure we have your most updated information.

All parents should have received an email with instructions on how to access the Parent Portal or a PIN to login. Please check your email and spam if you haven’t logged in yet. If you did not receive an email, please review the below documents and guidance on how to complete that process.

On Site Support

Beginning Thursday and until next Friday, there will be staff members during Grab-N-Go lunches with chromebooks to help our parents update their Parent Portals....shaded and masked, of course!:)

In partnership with the Riverside County Workforce Development Center, the City of Moreno Valley operates a one-stop job resource center that includes:

Pandemic Financial Assistance

Riverside County residents whose employment was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic may receive up to $800 in assistance thanks to a state grant received by the Riverside County Workforce Development Division. Please view flyer for eligibility and application information

Remember, Grab-N-Go Lunches no longer require a student ID and are available for any student ages 2-18.

Attendance Letters will begin Sept. 28th with a "Welcome Letter" to all parents of MVUSD going out next week. If you are struggling getting your student online and engaged in learning, please contact your student's teacher or the school for resources and support.

Home Language Survey

If your child is new to the district and you indicated on the Home Language Survey upon registration that the child or someone in the household speaks a language other than English, please expect a phone call over the next few weeks to schedule an appointment for a language assessment for your child. The assessment should not take longer than 20-30 minutes. At present, we are only doing remote testing. If your child is unable to take the assessment remotely, we may be able to schedule an in-person assessment in the future following all health and safety protocols.

Daily Grab-N-Go Lunches

Don't forget! Every M-F from 11:00am until 1:00pm we are serving Grab-N-Go Lunches! If you're hungry! Come on down! Student IDs are no longer required. Anyone from 2-18 can come on down!
