A Message from the Principal
Dear Ramona Parents,
As always, there are many important updates from our site and the District, so make sure to read everything below and click on all links so you can be in the know! Please remember to update your Parent Portal and Annual Forms! We are hosting a drive through Ice Cream Party for the first 10 classes to reach 90% completion, so help your student with that wonderful prize and get informed in the process! Also, if you need help, beginning Thursday, October 1st through Friday, October 10th, there will be staff out front during Grab-N-Go lunch time to assist you. There is a lot going on in October so STAY TUNED!

Upcoming Events for Next Week for Bullying Prevention Week October 5-October 9
- Monday- #Blueup wear blue to support World Day of Bully Prevention.
- Tuesday- Challenge yourself to show kindness to someone new in your class or community. Wednesday- Be the solution. Show how can you support bullying/cyberbullying prevention? Thursday- Share affirmations, send a positive note to friends, family, or someone new.
- Friday- Be a leader. Make the commitment to prevent bullying. Sign the pledge and share it!

Update your Parent Link and Annual Forms

Please complete the Annual Information Update. This is required for all parents to ensure we have your most updated information.
All parents should have received an email with instructions on how to access the Parent Portal or a PIN to login. Please check your email and spam if you haven’t logged in yet. If you did not receive an email, please review the below documents and guidance on how to complete that process.

We have a new how-to video to help you update your child’s information in the Parent Portal.
If you have questions regarding PIN numbers, passwords or access to Q Parent Portal, please reach out to your school directly. They should be able to help you.

In partnership with the Riverside County Workforce Development Center, the City of Moreno Valley operates a one-stop job resource center that includes:

Free Bike Repair Day

Pandemic Financial Assistance
Riverside County residents whose employment was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic may receive up to $800 in assistance thanks to a state grant received by the Riverside County Workforce Development Division. Please view flyer for eligibility and application information
Remember, Grab-N-Go Lunches no longer require a student ID and are available for any student ages 2-18.
Drive-Thru Health and Resource Fair

Attendance Letters will begin Sept. 28th with a "Welcome Letter" to all parents of MVUSD going out next week. If you are struggling getting your student online and engaged in learning, please contact your student's teacher or the school for resources and support.
Home Language Survey
If your child is new to the district and you indicated on the Home Language Survey upon registration that the child or someone in the household speaks a language other than English, please expect a phone call over the next few weeks to schedule an appointment for a language assessment for your child. The assessment should not take longer than 20-30 minutes. At present, we are only doing remote testing. If your child is unable to take the assessment remotely, we may be able to schedule an in-person assessment in the future following all health and safety protocols.
