Carolina Springs Elementary

November 2022

A message from your Principal

Hello Huskies!

November is a month when we typically reflect on those whom we are thankful for. I am certainly thankful for this community of staff, students and parents who all do their individual and collective part to make Carolina Springs the wonderful school that it is.

As I stated in the weekly message, Report Cards are issues on November 1st. These progress reports provide in depth information about how your student is progressing on grade level standards. Now is the time to set goals for the the second nine week and the rest of the year.

November is also a time when we see an increase of absences due to sickness with this trend beginning last week. Preventing the spread of germs can be hard in an elementary school, so we encourage students to wash their hands often. Parents, please keep students home when they have a fever and make sure you send in medical or parent notes when students are sick.

I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Parent Notes and Medical Excuses

As we are approaching cold and flu season, please remember that if your child is absent you need to send in a parent note or doctor's excuse within 3 days of your student returning to school. Excuses can be emailed to agrant@lexington1.net, faxed to 803-821-5103, or dropped by the front office.
