DWS All Stars
DWS staff members can award any student with a DWS ALL STAR when they see students being Dedicated, Welcoming, or Safe. All of the DWS ALL STAR awards are put on display in the front lobby. The following students were featured in the morning announcements last week for being DWS ALL-STARS!
Grade K: Griffin C. in Ms. Hastry’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he showed expert Math thinking and reflecting on challenging Math stations.
Grade K: Aveleen O. in Ms. Doria’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she modeled safe behavior in the hallway.
Grade 1: Izzy J. in Mrs. Wiedemann’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she followed directions in Music class.
Grade 1: Gigi I. in Mrs. Wiedemann’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she showed other students how a DWS student should act during independent work on Lexia.
Grade 2: Sofhia L. in Mrs. Bertulli’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she used her work place log-in for Math.
Grade 2: Kaylea W. in Ms. Mulligan’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she helped clean up.
Grade 3: Trixie K. in Mrs. Hines’ class is a DWS ALL STAR because she worked hard on her writing.
Grade 3: Rory S. in Mrs. Hines’ class is a DWS ALL STAR because she helped classmates fix something.
Grade 4: Luke A. in Mrs. Robatzek’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he shared great writing ideas with the class.
Grade 4: Will C. in Mrs. Farrell’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he showed awesome dedication to Math strategies.
Grade 5: Jayden M. in Mrs. Auriemma’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he completed all Reading logs.
Grade 5: Maryalice H. in Ms. LaForest’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she showed great problem-solving during Math.

What is your role at DWS? Kindergarten Teacher
Do you have a fun fact or a favorite thing you would like to share about yourself? As a kid, I used to love to draw all the time. At one point I thought about becoming an art teacher! When I was in high school, I won a Silver Key in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards for a still-life drawing I had spent many weeks working on.

The Marshfield Road Runners Youth Track Club, Marshfield Boys and Girls Club, Marshfield Districtwide PTO and Furnace Brook Middle School XC/Track & Field are excited to announce the that the 5th Annual Marshfield Elementary School Invitational will take place Wednesday 10/26/2022 at the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club (37 Proprietor's Drive, Marshfield) with check-in beginning at 3:00 PM. The 9th Annual DWS Great Pumpkin 🎃Run was a blast! So much positive energy! Many of the kids seemed to be able to 5k all day. Thank you to all the family support volunteers and runners.
Curriculum night was held on Wednesday. Thank you to all the teachers who took time to create and share these presentations with the DWS Parents and Guardians of our student population. We hope that you left with a better understanding of what your children will be learning in the school year to come.
Square 1 Art is back just in time for the holidays! Mr. D and the children have been working hard on these projects all year. They make great gifts… for every family member 😉

Boys and Girls Club Before School Program
The registration for the Before School Care is now available for Children in grades K-5 offered on site at each of the Marshfield Elementary Schools.
Our Before School program provides a wholesome environment that promotes social/emotional, physical and character development in addition to supporting the educational efforts of both the parent and school. We encourage children to balance learning and fun through homework help, physical activity and arts & crafts. Our focus areas give your child limitless opportunities to reach their full potential.
Hours: 7am until school day starts

DWS Security Updates
As a security measure, we will not be letting visitors into the building unless you are volunteering. Visitors who have a scheduled meeting will wait in the vestibule and be escorted by the host to the meeting.
All visitors must present a valid ID - no exceptions! We understand that we know many parents/guardians, but we will be requiring ALL visitors to present their ID when they volunteer and/or pick up a student - EVERY TIME. This will be frustrating at first, but we are working hard to maintain the safety of our students.
