ATTENDANCE MATTERS:
This holiday season, the best gift you can give your child is a good education. And the best place to get an education is in school. It’s tempting to extend your vacation by a few days, but remember, those days count as absences. Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much, lost learning time. So make sure your child is in school every day, right up until vacation starts. Our teachers will be teaching, and our students will be learning.
Thank you,
Kristen Lee
Assistant Principal

Gifted and Talented
Kindergarten Screening & Testing:
Kindergarten screening for Gifted & Talented services will be conducted automatically during the fall semester. There is no action required on the part of Kindergarten parents. If a Kindergarten student meets the minimum criteria on the screening tasks, parents will be notified in writing that he/she qualifies for further testing, and parents will receive the required forms to complete. In that case, parents will need to return the required forms to me for your child to continue in the evaluation process. Individual results will be sent home in writing during February. Qualified Kindergarten students will begin GT services in March 2021, following the GT Selection Committee Meeting.
