PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who attended our student led conferences at the end of November. When the school and families work together, our children benefit. I would like to encourage you to continue communication with your child’s teacher. If at any time, you have questions please call or message us.

The month of December is always a busy time of the year for both families and school. It is important for each of us to remember to slow down to enjoy all the wonderful gifts this Advent season has to offer. As Charlie Brown reminds us, “It’s not what’s under the Christmas tree that matters; it’s who’s around it.”

The staff would like to wish you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas. Enjoy your Christmas break with your children and safe travels to all who will be travelling this Christmas season.

Merry Christmas

SCC NEWS

We are looking to expand our School Community Council! If you would like to join us in creating a positive school community and help us in creating life long memories for our students, please consider joining our vibrant SCC. We meet once a month for about 1- 11/2 hours and decide on matters that contribute to both learning and fun within the school community. We organize activities, plan fundraisers, work at lunch of the months, dances, bake sales and track meets. Most importantly we provide a voice on behalf of parents on many matters pertaining to the school.Holy Family has always been a family community where quality learning is emphasized, but where fun family events are also important. Events such as swimming lessons, dances, class trips, carnivals, lunch of the months and track meets are all thanks to the SCC. These are the positive memories that students and families will remember when thinking about their time at Holy Family School. These events and activities can only happen because of the time and volunteerism of our parents. Please consider taking some time to join an activity or two or attend an SCC meeting and become part of the awesome school community we have here.
