PTO Fundraiser

PTO Fundraiser

Families should have received a fundraiser packet last week. Please check your child's backpack if you have not seen it yet. West Godwin has 2 fundraisers per year to help support field trips and special school events. Register online at www.shopfund.com. Once you register, you can share your selling links with family and friends. If every student just sold one item, we would raise quite a bit of money for our school! Selling ends on Monday, October 24!

Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival

On Monday, October 31st, we will be having our Annual Harvest Festival! Students will be participating in a lot of fun activities including crafts, games, a hayride and a petting zoo. Please be sure your child is dressed for the weather that day as we will be in and outside. Also, NO COSTUMES are allowed at school. If parents are wishing to volunteer, please complete the volunteer forms that were sent home with your child. You must be an approved volunteer to participate.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will be taking place the week of October 31st. Please watch for communication from your child's teacher about scheduling a time to meet. Also, don't forget that school dismisses early on the following days:

Wednesday, November 2 - 2:00 p.m. dismissal

Thursday, November 3 - 2:00 p.m. dismissal

Friday, November 4 - 12:00 p.m. dismissal

Kids' Food Basket sack suppers has begun for those students who have signed up! Opt-in forms were sent home with your child. If you have not already done so, please fill out the form and return it to school with your child as soon as possible so that we can get your student on the list to receive a sack supper!

ATTENDANCE

If your child will be absent or tardy, please call the office at 252-2030 to have the absence excused. If your child will be absent for more than 3 days, please provide the school with a Dr's note to excuse their absences.


If your child will not be riding the bus home, please call the office by 2:30 pm so we are able to accommodate the change.

Drop-Off -Students can be dropped off in the rear lot off of 36th street between 8:15 am and 8:30 am. Staff will call you forward to the flag and open the door for your student.


For safety, we ask that you and your student remain in your vehicle until staff directs you to the drop-off area. Please have your child’s coat on and additional items ready prior to pulling into the drop-off zone.


Pick-Up- Students can be picked up in the rear lot off 36th street between 3:15 pm & 3:30 pm. Please remember to have your student information sign in your window.

Please pay close attention to security officers and staff directing traffic daily. For safety please follow directions of staff during pick-up and drop-off and practice slow speeds through the student drop-off pick-up zone.


Please observe the Right Turn Only Sign as you exit the parking lot. Attempts to turn left have resulted in some extremely close calls when entering traffic on 36th street.
