Hello Terrapin Families!

We had a wonderful first week back reconnecting with our students. Moving forward, you may begin to notice a shift with less asynchronous assignments and more synchronous small group instruction. We welcome your feedback as we approach the end of our second quarter.

Many thanks to you for all of the ways you are supporting our students' learning!

All the best,

TCES Equity Update from Ms. Jones

December was a great month to be festive and learn about how other cultures celebrate the holidays!

Our students learned Christmas is a religious holiday celebrated on the 25th of December. Hanukkah is a religious holiday that is celebrated for 8 days because the oil that was intended to burn for 1 day lasted for 8 days. Kwanzaa is not a religious holiday and it is celebrated for 7 days. There are values that are remembered each day and any race can celebrate Kwanzaa.
