Bethel is a Family and Families Stick Together!

At all times, but particularly this time in life, I find words very comforting. These words about families spoke to my heart - "Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter." Bethel is a place where families matter! We are a family and we must stick together during the highs and the lows! Continue to dig in and stay well! Thank you for all you do to support your kids and your community members.

I love you, I pray for you, and I appreciate you!

A Message from The Superintendent - Parent/Guardian Survey

Dear CCS Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Evaluating a school’s learning environment and organization is important for school districts. Our independent research partner, K12 Insight developed the School Quality Survey so a variety of stakeholders — instructional staff, administrators, parents/guardians, and students could assess their school and their experiences.

This survey instrument includes items that each of these stakeholders can respond to, allowing for rich analysis of perceptions across stakeholder groups. Your feedback is one way for us to engage in an ongoing, two-way dialogue, which is a critical step to our district providing the best educational experience for all students. This survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Our research partner, K12 Insight, is administering the survey and analyzing results. Reports will not identify individuals, and only overall data will be shown. No one in Cabarrus County Schools will know if you participated unless you identify yourself in the open-ended comments.

If you have questions about this survey or your confidentiality, please contact K12 Insight at Thank you for taking the time to provide your honest feedback. I look forward to sharing the results with you in the coming months.

Stay Well,

John Kopicki, Ed.D. CCS Superintendent

Attendance Matters! - Staying Engaged Especially When Quarantined!

Thank you so much for all you do to support your children to engage in learning each and every day! Especially during times of quarantine!

Attending during quarantine looks like teachers emailing families and families emailing, calling, or messaging teachers when you have questions and needs for support! It looks like kiddos still working on activity packets that teachers have sent home and logging onto the web-based tools to engage in activities teachers have linked for all families (SeeSaw, Canvas, etc.).

We do not want families and kiddos to feel that they are disconnected during these times when you are not able to attend school!!! Please let us know how we can support you and your children to remain engaged in learning every single day! We want to get this right so let us know how we can help!!! Especially during these times!

As an example of the wonderful resources in this course, please link below to a video housed in the At-Home Learning Support section of the course. This video supports families to understand 1st grade math standard 1MD.1 - Order 3 objects by lenghth. Compare 2 objects indirectly by using a third object.
