HFK Presents George Washington & Presidents' Day
Monday, February 17th
George Washington is most commonly known as the first President of our country. However, did you know this surveyor and gentleman farmer happily became a father not only to his wife’s children and grandchildren but to many nieces and nephews as well? His commitment to his family was as important to him as his commitment to his soldiers, and later, a fledgling nation. Learn what brought Washington from a surveyor of land to the leader of a nation. This is an all-ages activity.
Linnea is reading
Darius the Great Is Not Okay
by Adib Khorram
Linnea says, "Everyone faces struggles in life, but it’s less common to connect with the emotional toll struggles take. Unique to other books, the reader connects and understands Darius’ emotional pain, and is reminded life gets better. In addition, a culture is shared in the book!!"
