North Glendale Family Update
Summer Edition #3: July 19, 2020
Good (sweltering!) afternoon!
As you hopefully have heard, tomorrow, July 20, KSD will announce plans for our re-opening of school. You can expect this information to arrive sometime during the afternoon.
Please know, KSD will provide as much information as possible, knowing that there is still a great deal of planning to be done.
In anticipation of questions many parents will have through the coming weeks, we are scheduling two options for family webinars scheduled on Thursday, July 23.
Register Online for One of the Following:
KSD Family Webinar - 5 - 6:30 pm
KSD Family Webinar - 7 - 8:30 pm
In addition. we will have a North Glendale specific webinar on Wednesday July 29th from 7:30-8:30 pm.
The NG staff is already working hard to prepare for the different scenarios we may encounter and while these plans are complex and quite frankly, emotional, the underlying current is that we are so excited to see your kids. They are what make our work-world go round!
Please reach out if I can be of service.

What do we know right now about our plans?
What we know right now is decisions are being made with the following guiding principles in mind:
● Every aspect of our reopening plan will be examined and aligned through a lens of equity, wellness, inclusion, and safety
● All students/families who want in-person OR online options for school will have opportunities to do so, even if limited by social distancing guidelines
● Consistent structures, processes, and communication will be created across schools and by level
● Internal (family needs, achievement data, mental health) and external (CDC/health department) factors will be designed for flexibility so we may adapt to changing needs including cooperation with area school districts
● Energies and resources will be dedicated toward meeting the immediate needs of students, staff, and families
