A NOTE FROM MRS. B
Howdy, Bronco Family! I have been thinking about the changing seasons. With nature’s changing seasons, comes life’s changing seasons. We should all embrace each season we have been in. Some are easier than others. Everyone should learn from the seasons they have experiences and look forward to what lies in the seasons they have yet to live.
People tend to think that life seasons only apply to adulthood. Our students face life seasons of their own. As educators, we help them navigate those seasons whether they are good or bad. This is the main reason we build those relationships. While math, reading, science, and social studies are important to their academic success, building great humans is vital to their existence. Having that relationship with the students allows them to feel safe on those bad days they are having and allows them to celebrate the great things they are experiencing.
Remember, you can always find the latest Meadow ISD news on the MISD website and Facebook page, so go check them out! Also, check your kiddo’s backpack and folders for any important paper notes that may have gone home.
Don’t forget to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about what is going on in the classroom. We are always here to help.
It’s ALWAYS great to be a Bronco!

In phonics, students are learning about syllable breaks with VCCV spelling patterns. Students also learned the use of the schwa, an upside down e to show that short i can make the short u sound. Students will have a spelling test on Friday and daily spelling homework.
In language arts, students are working on sentence structure (subject and predicate), the suffix -less, the idiom “hit the sack” and editing and revising sentences.
In social studies, students are learning about the 3 different branches of government and their different powers.
Reminders:
Spelling test is on Friday.
Daily Homework is due every day.
Please sign and return your child’s green folder everyday.
Read for at least 20 minutes every night
I will be out of the classroom from September 27th-October 3rd.
Thank you for all you do,

templo smith

5TH GRADE - MRS.GAMEZ & MRS. GUZMAN
4th & 5th Math
-In 4th grade Math, we are still multiplying whole numbers. We will be on this topic for a while and work up to multiplying a 2-digit by digit.
-In 5th grade, we started with decimals and slowly working up to adding and subtracting them.
-4th and 5th grade took an assessment this past week to see what they have learned so far. Hopefully we see some growth and learning going on.
-All 4th and 5th Graders need to practice multiplication math facts every night for 5 minutes. Please, please, please…the numbers and the work is getting more challenging and not knowing multiplication math facts make it seem impossible. Some students shut down or do not turn in assignments.
Thank you for your support,
Stacy Gamez
Stacy Gamez.

YOU'VE BEEN BOO'ED
So excited October is here and one favorite way to love on my students is to BOO them!
Everyday this month I randomly choose one student to surprise with a boo card and a treat/reward at their desk! It's not based on behavior or grades just a little something for them to look forward to. Their reactions are priceless!
