Weekly Newsletter
January 13, 2023
Hello WES Families,
I hope that you had a wonderful week!
We are looking forward to Council Rock Education week. Please be sure to see the detailed information below. Additionally, please be sure to pre-register prior to Tuesday, January 17th if you plan on visiting class rooms next week.
Lastly, please note that there is no school for students this Monday, January 16th as we recognize MLK Day. Several of our sixth grade students will be volunteering at Holland Middle School on this day to assemble care packages. Thank you to all of the families who donated items for these care packages, as it greatly benefits those in our community who rely on homeless shelters and food cupboards.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sam

Free Breakfast Program
A message went out from the school district this week with information about the free breakfast program. Council Rock will begin offering free breakfast to all enrolled students at the elementary and middle school levels starting Monday, October 3rd through the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
What you need to know:
- No sign-up is required.
- Daily breakfast menus will be available on our menus website.
- Students enter their lunch ID number and get breakfast in the cafeteria upon arrival at school.
- Breakfast will be pre-bagged and have an optional milk and fruit selection.
The protocol for WES will be that children may pick up the bagged breakfast in the cafeteria upon arrival to school on their way to their homeroom. Students will use their lunch ID when picking up the breakfast, and then they will eat in their homeroom. Issues may arise with disruptions to our morning classroom routines or creating excessive messes in classes. We will address these needs as we begin the program, and, if needed, we will make changes as to where the students will eat their breakfast. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions.
