Thank you for helping us to have a successful first round of STAAR testing! Our next round will be in May, so keep a look out for more information on this bigger round of testing for our students.

Last week, our students participated in Hour of Code. Hour of Code is a movement reaching millions of students through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. Our students had lots of fun and were challenged to code in our computer lab with Ms. Velasquez!

We have a busy month of April coming up! Please stay up to date with everything by subscribing to our campus Remind, your classroom Remind, our campus social media, and through our Thursday Exchange letters.

Thanks for all you do each day for us at LSRO!

Counselor's Corner :

Respect means valuing all people. April will be Autism Awareness month, so use it as another opportunity to talk as a family about accepting others, especially those with disabilities. Start a discussion with your children about valuing the things that make each person unique.

From The Nurse:

Note from the nurse: Parents we are seeing an increase in the stomach flu. Disinfecting can help to kill the germs that cause these viruses. Pay attention to the surfaces and objects people touch most, and disinfect them regularly.

From Our Specials Teachers:

Art: Did you know that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are named after the High Renaissance Artists Michelangelo Buonarroti, Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael Sanzio, and (Donatello) Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi. They were all Italian which must be why the turtles are so fond of pizza!

Music: The Music Room is in need of KLEENEX and BOTTLES OF GLUE. Please donate to receive parenting points!
