"The App Builder" Process
The ins & outs of the websites used.
myapp.is
This website has always looked like this at myapp.is. The apps are produced on this domain, but they are made elsewhere. This is the location that teachers have access to currently, but students do not.
The App Builder
This is the website that hosts the interface for buidling the app. (click image for larger picture)
The Dashboard of My Apps
Here is a screenshot of apps that I have built or have played around with.
Publishing the App
When I have finished publishing the app, the birdy in the middle tells me where I can find this tasty little webclip. I take this url and add it to my webclip pusher in Meraki, and it appears as an app on the students iPad.
Example One
Here is the one I have currently pushed to the iPads. You can type this url address on your computer and see the same format. If you use a mobile device, it will ask you to save it as a webclip, then use the app to navigate through it.
Example Two
Here is another example of what I wish to push out after the iPad updates I plan to do.
Conclusion
I don't think there will ever be anything to display at "myapp.is". I think it is the hosting site for the apps made at "theappbuilder.com". I also don't plan on the students ever navigating to this site to add the apps. I plan to push them all out through Meraki. The students won't even know what "myapp.is" is. They will see a link on the app to "theappbuilder.com". But they will not know how to set up an account unless they pay.
I'll let you explore a little more, but wanted to also give more information than I was able to give earlier today as well. Sounds like we both had quite the day!
Love the work you do. Thanks for everything!
