We Want to Hear From You!
On Monday, you received an invitation to participate in the Quarterly Feedback Thought Exchange. If you haven't had a chance to join the conversation, please do so today. You have until Friday, April 8 at 10 p.m.
Question:
As we wrap up the 3rd quarter of the 2021-2022 school year, what is going well?
What additional support does your child need to finish the year strong?
- Please offer ideas and solutions to help make your feedback actionable.
- When pointing out things that are going well, consider offering suggestions on how we can expand it to other areas.
- When pointing out areas of concern, consider offering suggestions for moving forward.
Skip a Thought and Other Tips
The Thought Exchange is off to a great start! As of Wednesday morning there were nearly 100 participants in the discussion. In the exchange we are hearing about hardworking staff and students, ideas regarding the amount of homework and developing study habits, communication in the classroom, requests for more extra curricular activities, and additional academic/social supports needed. We appreciate your time!
A few helpful tips based on what we are seeing so far:
- If a thought you are asked to rate does not apply to your child, look for the three dots and skip that thought (see photo).
- Several thoughts were flagged by Thought Exchange for using names that identify a specific person. Even though the thoughts were positive shout outs to your child’s teacher, the system is built to filter out individual names to keep the entire discussion anonymous. If you think you may have used someone’s name, please consider going back and use more general phrases like “my child’s teacher” or “school administrator".
- Please go back in and rate new thoughts that come in. The system relies on your ratings to pull out themes and help popular thoughts rise to the top. Seeing the thoughts other people have shared may also prompt a new thought for you. See what others are saying.
