Reaching, Educating and Supporting our Community

Thanksgiving, HECC, & School Safety

Teachers and Staff,

As we all get set for our next break where we take time to feast with family and friends, I really hope you all take a moment to consider all of the things you are thankful for. I know that I am very thankful for the school and the community I have chosen to serve. I am thankful for the opportunity I get every day to encourage a student in this building. I am also very thankful for the opportunity to serve this amazing staff here at Union City Jr/Sr High School.

I just want to share with you a couple of items I picked up on while at HECC last week and school safety basic training this week. In short, what I learned is we are doing a lot of things very well concerning technology and especially in school safety. In the next couple of weeks I am going to take some time to look at a technology tool that I think we could all start benefiting from immediately. That tool would be google classroom. Before you get too excited please understand this tool is not being suggested to replace MBC or moodle but is a resource you can use to easily sort and share your google docs in the class. My hope is to share this tool and give you an opportunity to explore with the belief that it will make your life a little easier.

Thank you for all you do!
